What's different about the way you work?Working with me means being met on multiple levels: physical, emotional, energetic, and spiritual. I bring together my understanding of the physical body, pain, and trauma, alongside years of deep work with the subtle body — and how these interrelate within a complex, living system. This layered understanding allows me to support you in overcoming difficulties by addressing root causes — not just symptoms — across all dimensions of your being. For example, you might have already worked with a traumatic experience through belief work or mindset shifts, and for a while, felt better. But then symptoms resurface — in the body, in your energy, or emotionally. This isn’t failure; it’s the intelligence of your system asking for healing on a deeper level. What I’ve discovered — through both clinical training and lived experience — is that healing is rarely linear. A trauma may be psychologically integrated, but still physically held in the tissues. Informed by principles from epigenetics and somatic work, I understand the body as a storehouse of memory. Our tissues and cells hold imprints of our experiences — even long after the mind has moved on. The same is true for our organs, meridians, and energetic fields. Through the lens of Chinese Medicine, we can trace emotional and spiritual imprints back to specific organ systems. For example, grief may affect the lungs, or chronic fear the kidneys — creating real, ongoing symptoms if unresolved. So, what makes my work different is this: I don’t treat in one dimension. I listen for what’s happening across all levels, and design treatments that address what’s truly ready to shift — whether physical, emotional, psychological, or spiritual.

What's your specialism? My specialism is working with trauma. My work lies in supporting the body, mind, and spirit to return to coherence — especially in the aftermath of traumatic experience, chronic dysregulation, or long-term feelings of disconnection. I draw on traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture, but also on years of lived experience, subtle energy work, and my own healing method, Memory of Light™. This method blends energetic precision with the understanding of the Soul as divine essence — helping the body not just feel better, but remember its wholeness, consciously. I specialise in working with people who are sensitive, self-aware, and have often “tried everything” — yet feel that something in their system still feels stuck, scattered, or unresolved. My work focuses on identifying what the person is still holding, and helping to release it— whether that’s stored fear, ancestral grief, suppressed expression, or spiritual exhaustion. In particular, I work with: Trauma-related symptoms (emotional, physical, energetic) Dysregulated nervous system (anxiety, fatigue, insomnia) Chronic or mysterious conditions with no clear diagnosis Clients who feel disconnected from their body, energy, or inner truth Feeling unheard or misunderstood — especially when symptoms have no clear explanation Everything I offer is centred in deep listening — not only to what hurts, but to what’s ready to heal.
-
What do you mean when you say we're already whole? My work is rooted in the knowing that, at the core, we are divine beings — and that we are already perfect. I carry this knowing into practice, with the intention of bringing it into conscious awareness. But I don’t offer this as a spiritual cliché. “You are perfect as you are” has become a familiar phrase in healing circles — sometimes so familiar it loses its meaning. So let me explain what I truly mean by it, and how it informs the work we’ll do together. As we’re born into this world and exposed to society — with all its beliefs, programming, and structures — we gradually detach from the heart, losing contact with our inner truth, happiness, and sense of wellbeing. The beautiful, divine essence we came in with becomes hidden — stuffed into a box — and often, the pain we feel is nothing more than the soul and heart crying to be heard. So rather than viewing symptoms and misalignment as deep-rooted problems to be fixed or eradicated, I see them as layers of dust — something that can be gently cleared. It’s like drawing back the curtains to let the light of the soul shine through. This process becomes remembrance. With this kind of healing, we don’t just “get better” — we remember who we truly are. We begin to feel the warmth of our Soul radiating from within. This is the essence of Memory of Light™, which forms the foundation of everything I do. It's not about fixing what's broken, but about drawing the curtains to let the soul warm us and shine from within.

What kind of trauma do you work with?I work with trauma in many forms — including early life trauma, medical or birth trauma, grief, relational trauma, and more subtle experiences of disconnection or chronic stress. You don’t need a diagnosis or a dramatic event to be experiencing trauma. If your body feels overwhelmed, numb, hypervigilant, or stuck, this work may support you.
-
How is your approach to trauma different from traditional talk therapy or clinical models? While talk therapy can be valuable, trauma is often stored in the body, not just in the mind. My work focuses on helping your system release trauma safely and gently through the body’s own intelligence. I don’t aim to “process” trauma through story, but to support regulation, reconnection, and restoration — without forcing anything open.
-
What if I’m not ready to talk about my trauma? You don’t have to. This work doesn’t require you to share your whole story. In fact, many people benefit simply by resting into a treatment space where their system feels safe enough to start unwinding. You are always in control of what you share.
-
Will you be using specific trauma protocols or is it more intuitive? Both. I use classical and integrated acupuncture approaches that specifically support trauma resolution, such as work with the Eight Extraordinary Vessels. I also combine this with somatic awareness, energy medicine, and my own method, Memory of Light, which helps the body remember its innate wholeness — beyond the imprint of trauma.

What can acupuncture help with?Acupuncture can support a wide range of physical, emotional, and energetic concerns by helping the body return to its natural state of balance. Rooted in the principles of Chinese medicine, acupuncture works by gently regulating the flow of Qi (vital energy), improving circulation, calming the nervous system, and supporting the body’s innate healing intelligence. In my practice, I work with people experiencing a variety of symptoms — often ones that are chronic, hard to define, or have not responded fully to conventional treatment. Acupuncture can help both with clearly diagnosed conditions and with more subtle states of imbalance. Some of the concerns acupuncture may support include: Emotional wellbeing: anxiety, low mood, burnout, emotional overwhelm, nervous system dysregulation Sleep and rest: insomnia, light or disrupted sleep, difficulty switching off Digestive issues: bloating, constipation, IBS, food sensitivities Menstrual and hormonal health: irregular periods, PMS, painful periods, fertility support Chronic or unexplained symptoms: fatigue, headaches, brain fog, autoimmune symptoms Pain: back, neck, joint or muscular pain, migraines, menstrual pain Autoimmune-related symptoms: fatigue, inflammation, joint pain, and immune dysregulation Central Sensitivity Syndromes (CSS): such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome/ME, and related conditions marked by heightened pain sensitivity, fatigue, and nervous system dysregulation. Trauma-related patterns: disconnection from the body, emotional holding, spiritual exhaustion In addition to symptom relief, acupuncture often supports a deeper sense of reconnection — to the body, to clarity, and to one’s own energy. It can help us feel more grounded, clear, and present in our lives. Because I combine acupuncture with energy work and deeper listening, my approach is especially supportive for those who are sensitive, self-aware, or navigating long-standing patterns — especially when healing has felt complex or incomplete.
-
Can acupuncture help with trauma?Yes — acupuncture, especially when combined with energy medicine and, the the understanding of how trauma affects the physical body can be transformational. In Chinese medicine, trauma often disrupts the flow of Qi and affects the organ systems on physical, emotional, and energetic levels. Acupuncture helps restore balance, regulate the nervous system, and restore flow in the body.
-
Does it hurt? Most people find acupuncture to be calming and painless. The needles are very fine — often compared to a hair — and many clients feel a sense of relaxation or spaciousness once they’re in. Any sensation is usually brief and minimal. We will often look to achieve what we call a Qi sensation, which equals to a dull ache, indicating the needle has reached the meridian and engaged its energy.
-
What should I wear or bring?Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows access to arms and legs. Make sure you also bring a bottle of water, which is useful after treatment to help ground you.
-
How many sessions will I need? That depends on your goals and what you’re seeking support with. Some clients feel shifts after one session, especially if the condition is acute. When the condition is chronic we will likely need a series of sessions (4-6). We’ll decide together what pace and rhythm best supports your process.
-
What does an acupuncture session look like? Each session begins with a consultation — a chance to talk about how you're feeling physically and emotionally, and to explore any symptoms or patterns that are present. From there, I’ll take your pulses, look at your tongue, observe diagnostic signs, and begin to build a treatment rooted in traditional Chinese medicine. Once you're settled, the acupuncture begins. Very fine, sterile needles are placed at specific points along the body’s meridians to support balance, regulation, and healing. The experience is often deeply calming — many people feel a sense of deep relaxation or grounding within moments.
-
Why do you look at my tongue? In traditional Chinese medicine, the tongue is a powerful diagnostic tool. Its colour, shape, coating, and texture offer insight into what’s happening inside the body — particularly in relation to the organ systems, circulation, and internal heat or dampness. I may ask you to briefly show your tongue at the beginning of the session. It helps me understand where imbalances may be occurring, and allows me to tailor the treatment more precisely. It’s a simple, non-invasive way to access the body’s deeper patterns — and can be surprisingly revealing.
-
Why do you feel my pulses? In Chinese medicine, the pulse is one of our most important diagnostic tools. By gently feeling the pulse at your wrist, I can gain insight into the quality, strength, and rhythm of your Qi — as well as how different organ systems are functioning. There are actually six positions on each wrist, each corresponding to different internal systems. I’m not just feeling for your heart rate — I’m listening to the texture of the pulse. This subtle reading helps guide your treatment in a precise and individualised way. Your pulse can often tell us things the body is expressing before symptoms appear — or confirm what your system is already trying to communicate.
